Study Abroad Ireland Admitted Student Checklist 

Congratulations on being accepted to the University of Notre Dame Pre-College Study Abroad Ireland program! 

Please check your email regularly as we will be sending updates and important information to you by email. To check on the status of your required materials listed below, please visit your Applicant Status Page. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email at precoll@nd.edu or 574.631.0990.

To secure your spot in the program, complete the following items listed below. For your convenience, each item has specific instructions on how to complete each requirement. These items must be completed in their entirety by the deadlines provided. 

 

1. Complete your confirmation form no later than March 7, 2024. To access the form, please log in to your Applicant Status Page

  • Once logged in, admitted students will find the Confirmation Form link at the bottom of the page. 
  • Please Note: Students must complete and submit the Confirmation Form first in order to pay the enrollment fee. 

 

2. Submit the $2,000 enrollment fee via credit card or echeck on your Applicant Status Page by March 7, 2024.

  • Payments by check should be made payable to "University of Notre Dame" and mailed to “Office of Pre-College Programs, 403 McKenna Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556.”

 

3. Submit your final tuition payment via credit card or echeck on your Applicant Status Page by April 18, 2024. 

  • Payments by check should be made payable to "University of Notre Dame" and mailed to “Office of Pre-College Programs, 403 McKenna Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556.”

 

4. A parent or legal guardian needs to complete DocuSign, which will be sent out via email on April 25, 2024. Contact us at curban1@nd.edu if your parent or legal guardian has not received this email. The following items will be requested to be submitted via DocuSign by May 9, 2024:

  • Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment
  • Birth Certificate
  • Health Insurance Card
  • University Waiver
  • A copy of your passport
  • Parent Guardian Identification 

 

5. A welcome packet will be mailed out to you on April 25, 2024 which contains required forms and other important information.

  • Please contact our office if you do not receive your packet by May 1, 2024. This welcome packet contains important information for the student and family that needs to be completed and returned via fax or mail by May 19, 2024.

 

6. Activate NetID & Create Password

  • Available on April 25, 2024 you should receive an email from noreply@okta.com with the subject "Activate your Notre Dame Account.” Follow on-screen directions until your NetID (alphanumeric) is activated. You will also gain access to your Notre Dame student email account, which is how you will receive important information from our office, your professor(s), and other campus departments once the program has begun. Complete this step by May 9, 2024. Please note: record your NetID and remember your password as you will lose access to see your NetID once you leave this screen. 

 

7. Enroll in Okta

  • Available on April 25, 2024: Go to gmail.nd.edu. The first time you go to your Notre Dame email, you will be asked to register with the Okta login system. Follow on-screen instructions to register with Okta.​​​​ Complete this step by May 9, 2024.

 

8. Set Up Email Forwarding

After you have activated your NetID and enrolled in Okta, please set up email forwarding. This will need to be completed by May 9, 2024 as we will begin to email you using your Notre Dame email by this date. To ensure that all university communications are received, please complete the following steps:

  • Login to your ND email account.
  • Your login is your netID. Your password is the one you just established in step 1.
  • On the top right corner click on the gear icon and select > Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP > Add a Forwarding Address. Include the email address you check regularly so that your ND email account will be linked to it.
  • Click > Next > Proceed > OK
  • A verification message will be sent to the chosen address. Click the verification link in the message.
  • Go back to the settings page (Gear Icon > Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP) and refresh your browser.
  • Select > Forward a copy of incoming mail to. Choose what you want to happen with the Gmail copy of your emails. We recommend Keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox.
  • At the bottom of the page, click > Save Changes

 

9. Complete ND Roll Call

To officially register at Notre Dame, you must complete the Roll Call registration process. Please note: Roll Call will not be active until May 21, 2024.

  • Visit https://rollcall.nd.edu/. Sign in using your NetID and password.
  • Follow on screen directions to complete the process. 
  • Complete this step by May 30, 2024
  • If you experience any difficulties with your NetID or password, please contact the Office of Information Technologies (OIT) 574-631-8111 during regular business hours (8am-5pm, M-F). Have your NetID number available to expedite the process. 

 

ATTEND MANDATORY ONLINE ORIENTATION

  • Online invitation will be sent via email in late April.


 

REVIEW STUDY ABROAD IRELAND HANDBOOK 

  • Download and review the new edition in April. This includes a packing list, travel information with the travel day itinerary, program expectations and guidelines, and other helpful information for students and families. This will be available online in June 2024. Please also review the Notre Dame Pre-College Programming Standards and Policies.

 

REVIEW STUDY ABROAD IRELAND TRAVEL PROTOCOLS 

  • Students will be informed of specific, if any protocols for traveling with the University of Notre Dame via email. Please check your email on a regular basis to ensure you have received these communications.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make travel arrangements to Chicago O'Hare International Airport to meet the group. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
