Object Design and Prototyping Summer Scholars Session II

Have you ever had an idea for a cool new product, but did not know how to advance it? This course helps the future inventor and/or engineer become an effective 3D designer using the Solidworks software package. Individuals will gain a high level of proficiency and have the opportunity to become formally certified by taking the Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA) exam. Students in the ODP class will also be given two product design challenges, in which a product concept will be drawn up in SW, and then 3D printed on our world-class machines in the Innovation Lab. At the end of this course, each student will learn to design and prototype new ideas, and have an excellent CSWA credential to add to their respective resumes.
