Exploring the World of Chemistry Summer Scholars Session I

Chemistry is everywhere. From our solar system to the cells in our body. But using the word chemistry covers a broad range of topics, almost like saying “I play a sport.” There are different types of sports, just like there are different types of chemistry. Students will be introduced to the different flavors of chemistry: analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical, just to name a few.

This course will be a blend of discussion and, most importantly, experience in a lab setting. Students will use our state-of-the-art labs and modern instrumentation to perform experiments that touch on a variety of chemistry topics.
