Application Requirements
Global Issues Seminar is not for everyone
Students applying for this special program must be prepared to give as much as they receive in terms of active thought and participation in all discussions. It is only in this way everyone will realize the maximum benefits of the Seminar.
Eligibility
- The Global Issues Seminar is a highly selective program. Cultural, economic, geographic and ethnic diversity are goals of the selection process.
- Catholic students: Attending Catholic, public, or private schools
- Non-Catholic students: Attending Catholic high schools
- Year: High school students who will enter their senior year fall of 2010 who plan to attend college immediately after high school.
- Academics: Accepted students are typically in the top 5% of their class, having pursued the most rigorous curriculum offered in their high schools.
- Standardized Tests: Minimum test scores are: 700 Verbal/Critical Reasoning SAT, 700 Math, 30 ACT or at least a PSAT Selection Index of 200.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities in school, church, community, and/or social organizations.
